Instance Management

View Basic Instance Information 1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-1

2) You can enter the instance basic information page in the following two ways: On the cloud database management page, click the ID of the target instance to enter the instance basic information page; on the cloud database management page, click Manage in the operation bar corresponding to the target instance to enter the instance basic information page. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-2

Restart The Instance

1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-3

2) On the cloud database management page, click the target instance ID or click Manage under the operation column on the right side of the instance to open the basic information page. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-4

3) Click Restart Instance in the upper right corner. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-5

4) In the pop-up window, click OK. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-6

Set Maintenance Period

1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-7

2) Click on the instance ID or choose Actions > Manage. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-8

3) In the configuration information area, click the settings after the maintenance time period. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-9

4) Select a maintainable time period and click Save. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-10

SQL Server Modify Data Replication Method

1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-11

2) Click on the target instance ID. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-12

3) In the left navigation bar, click Service Availability. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-13

4) Click Modify data copy method. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-14

5) In the pop-up dialog box, select the data copy method and click OK. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-15

SQL Server Upgrade Kernel Minor Version

1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-16

2) On the cloud database management page, click the target instance ID or click Manage under the operation column on the right side of the instance to open the basic information page. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-17

3) In the configuration information area, click the setting on the right of the automatic upgrade of the minor version. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-18

4) Select automatic upgrade or manual upgrade, and click OK. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-19

5) Or click Upgrade kernel minor version on the right side of the configuration information area. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-20

6) In the pop-up dialog box, select the upgrade time and click OK. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-21

Sql Server Active And Standby Database Switching

1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-22

2) On the cloud database management page, locate the target instance.

3) Click the target instance ID or click Manage on the right side of the instance to open the basic information page. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-23

4) In the left navigation bar, click Service Availability. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-24

5) In the instance availability zone, click Active/standby database switch. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-25

6) In the pop-up dialog box, click OK. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-26

Set Instance Parameters

1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-27

2) On the cloud database management page, click the target instance ID or click Manage under the operation column on the right side of the instance to open the basic information page. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-28

3) In the left navigation bar, click Preferences. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-29

4) At this point, you can perform the following operations: Export parameters; click Export Parameters to save the parameter file in TXT format locally. The TXT file contains all parameter values of the instance; modify parameter files in batches and import parameters. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-30

Create A Read-Only Instance

1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-31

2) On the cloud database management page, click the target instance ID or click Manage under the operation column on the right side of the instance to open the basic information page. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-32

3) In the instance distribution area on the right side of the basic information page, click Add read-only instance. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-33

4) On the RDS Create Read-Only Instance page, set the parameters of the read-only instance.

Query Read-Only Instance Details

1) Log in to the RDS console. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-34

2) On the cloud database management page, click the ID of the target read-only instance to enter the instance's basic information page. In the instance list, an instance whose instance type is read-only is a read-only instance, as shown in Viewing Read-Only Instances. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-35

3) On the basic information page, move the mouse to the number of the read-only instance in the instance distribution window, and the read-only instance ID will be displayed. fg-dc-rds(sqlsever)-3.1-36

4) Click the read-only instance ID to enter the management page of the read-only instance.
